Dear Friends,
Every year, Jews around the world anticipate hearing the pivotal four questions at their seder tables….This year they’ll be asking themselves, minimally, a fifth one: “Why is this Passover different from most others?” Besides our second year dealing with “the health crisis”, this year, Passover arrives immediately following Shabbat (Saturday night, March 27th 2021) – a rare occurrence that creates unique circumstances, which directly affect our usual Passover preparations. To answer this, and some other questions, I am delighted to share with you this year’s KG Passover Guide.
Normally, the seder is the great occasion for family reunions! It also is the moment where we invite many guests into our homes and tables. For many, Passover is summed up in the stirring call, “Kol dikhfin… whoever is hungry, let him come and eat.” However, because of the current circumstances, this time-honored phrase must be modified this year to: “Let all who are hungry for connection, come online and partake.”
